Job Description
This position is supporting the General Manager of the hotel. Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
Provide clerical and administrative support to General Manager.
- Perform clerical duties such as corporatey forms, correspondence and reports, filing, and answering phones.
- Managing, organizing and filing invoices, purchase orders and billing correspondence.
- Maintain and upkeep various filing syste! ms.
- Assist managers in scheduling appointments and meetings
- Maintain a professional working environment and attitude.
- Maintain and upkeep of all office equipment.
- Ordering, managing and keeping inventory on certain items
- Assisting with setting up reservations, travel and transportation.
- Receive visitors and guests. Answer questions and concerns; follow through either to resolution or refer to the appropriate manager.
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process. !
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written. Must possess computer skills, including Microsoft Office 97, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor degree preferred
