The Manager Software Engineering (Corporate) manages, establishes, maintains and helps plan the overall policies and goals for the development team in the Corporate IT department. May coordina! te and negotiate with all departments. Helps drive software release strategy, interacts with all departments to define these requirements and manages interaction with engineering and operations on IT development. This position manages the development process by translating user, testing and customer support feedback into feature/function requirements. Also responsible for the management of all back office applications and systems.

This Is What You'll Get To Do:
Work together with the Product Owners to plan and execute projects, ensure that teams have appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver products effectively by establishing realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meet deadlines
Work closely with the Product Owner, Project Managers, and Business Analysts, for understanding the system's functional and non-­‐functional requirements
Work with development tea! m to set project timelines and Project Managers to meet those ! timelines
Collaborate with the Product Owners in defining the Product Vision
Demonstrate leadership abilities to our clients with the deployment of software upgrades, enhancements and fixes that are coordinated based on release schedules
Provide a software development plan that meets the future needs of our clients and markets, based on the state-­‐of-­‐the-­‐art technologies
Evolve the existing software system applications and architecture in various areas as needed
Coordinate release and sprint planning
Conduct daily scrum meetings
Help developers resolve both technical problems as well as human resources issues
Monitor individual employees' performance
Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance levels and career development
Provide direction and input into technical designs to ensure solutions developed are consistent with strategic business plans.
Provide lea! dership, guidance and mentoring to technical support team individuals. Assess performance, maximize productivity and promote teamwork.
Develop training programs and provide growth paths. Foster positive employee relations.
Prioritize, assign and manage department activities and projects in accordance with the Operations department's goals and objectives. Adjust hours of work, priorities and staff assignments to ensure efficient operation, based on workload.
Responsible for recruiting, hiring and firing for the department.

Successful Candidates Will Have The Following:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience required.
MCSD or MTA preferred
MCTS, MCITP preferred
8+ years of software development
5+ years of C# or equivalent experience
5+ years of developing with SQL Server or equivalent experience
2+ years of web development (IIS, ASP.NET, HTML, Javascript)
2+ years managem! ent experience in a software development environment
Development ex! perience in other development platforms (C++, Pascal, Cobol, etc.) a plus
Experience with developing window services, developing threaded software, developing for the web, and designing server systems
Excellent problem solving abilities
Excellent decision-making skills
Working knowledge of object oriented software design
Working knowledge of design patterns
Working knowledge of unit testing
Microsoft Team Foundation Server experience
Working knowledge of user stories or use cases
Working knowledge of Agile development processes
Strong quality orientation

Bonus Experience:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
3+ years of cloud development.
Excellent verbal and written skills
Ability to meet and set short term and long term objectives for self and assigned team
Ability to adapt to changing conditions and plans with well-reasoned decision and minimal supervision
High degree of computer degre! e of computer literacy, fluent with Microsoft Office, and inContact applications
Experience working with networks systems, operating systems, service hardware, network equipment, network protocols, network and internet security, monitoring and network troubleshooting; windows 2000/2003/xp; server; LINUX server, internet firewalls. Must be an expert in at least one of the technologies mentioned. Active Directory, Exchange, DB2 Linux and CISCO
