Machine Operator - 1st Shift

We are currently seeking a Machine Operator for our Rancho Dominguez, CA facility.

Here at Techmer PM we are looking for quality people that want to start their career in excellence and become part of the fast growing Techmer Team. This is a Machine operator position. You will be working in a manufacturing environment with pigments, additives and polymers and on an extrusion line. Since the safety of our team members is our top priority, this position requires the use of multiple types of PPE at all times. This job involves moving key equipment into place, handling raw materials, setting up the production line, operating the line, observing and recording key data, cleaning the line, collecting retains for quality inspection, packaging and labeling finished product and performing other auxiliary duties as needed.

Key skills required include: Attention to detail, ability to use a computer to read instructions and enter process data, read and follow detailed instructions, must have reliable attendance, be a fast learner, be able to keep up with the pace of manufacturing, be able to work overtime when needed, understand the importance of creating a quality product and working as a team with others.

Responsibilities include:

  • Safety Implementation
  • Quality assurance
  • Equipment management
  • Process information management
  • Interdepartmental communication/coordination
  • Event participation - Lean, Safety, Kaizen
  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications/Requirements/Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of manufacturing experience is preferred. Extrusion experience is highly desired.

The pay range for this position is between: $17-$23 per hour. This position will be eligible for a $1000 sign-on bonus.
