Team Lead to Management Career Track - Sonny's BBQ - Spring Hill


 

Sonny’s BBQ is seeking candidates to participate in our Team Lead to Management Pathway Program. Individuals hired into this role will be offered training and expedited advancement opportunities into Management level positions with Sonny’s BBQ. A passion for food & people, prior restaurant/customer service experience and the desire to build a career in the Restaurant Industry are important qualifications for this position. The ideal candidate will have FOH & BOH experience, may hold a degree in Hospitality Management or a related field, and have held a leadership position previously. This is a Full-Time or Part-Time position.

Compensation:

Team Lead hourly wages are based on the individual candidate’s experience and skillset – Starting at $15/hour.

Team Lead to Management Pathway – Sonny’s BBQ

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to)

  • Ensure that all iServ/Sonny’s BBQ mission, values, and objectives are communicated, understood, and practiced with all Team Members.

  • Ensure that our restaurants have a fun, playful, and engaging atmosphere by going above and beyond to meet the individual needs and concerns of our staff and guests daily.

  • Promotes a culture that inspires improvement; continually develops and mentors team members under his/her direction and is directly responsible for their success

  • Perform opening and closing responsibilities for the store and assist the Management Team in overseeing store operations.

  • Adheres to all food handling and safety regulations throughout the kitchen and restaurant

  • Ability to lead front and back-of-the-house staff through shifts to ensure a great experience for all guests.

  • Overseeing the learning and development of new Team Members.

  • Communicate with the Management Team on the performance of Team Members.

  • Performing other duties as necessary including point-of-sale (POS) functions, handling guest concerns, getting change from the safe, receiving Team Member checkouts, etc.

Required Qualifications

  • 1 year of restaurant experience.

  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to complete a successful driver insurability check, background check, and drug screen.

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

  • Minimum 18 years of age

  • Ability to successfully enroll and complete required training or certifications within a reasonable amount of time

  • Strong operational and training skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to lead and direct while cultivating a healthy and collaborative team environment.

  • Advanced degree in hospitality or a related field.

  • Trained and proficient in all areas of the front-of-the-house & back-of-the-house functions.

  • Held positions of leadership previously

Job Expectations

  • Stand for prolonged periods of time and handle products, tools, paperwork, and equipment.

  • May be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, and requested to work with cleaning chemicals

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 30lbs.
