Job Title: Billing Customer Service
Location: Bend, Oregon - Remote
Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Rate: $20.57 - $26.06 per hour dependent upon experience, education and internal equity of current employees

Compiles and tracks the outstanding balances owed to our facility, maintains payment records, makes payment arrangements and collects on past due accounts.

This position requires a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, as the consequences of even a minor mistake can be significant for patients and providers.

Must have the ability to work cohesively with others.
Must be comfortable using a computer, billing software and basic office machinery.
Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills displaying professional phone etiquette.
Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
Creates insurance claims and patient statements.
Works bad addresses.
Responds to incoming customer calls, faxes, mail, and e-mail
Sends delinquent accounts to collection agencies.
Processes refunds to insurance companies and patients.
Works contract accounts.
Processes VISA payments.
Evaluates and processes hardship accounts.
Responds to W9’s.
Works job ques to ensure patient account follow-up is complete.
Performs training as requested by team leader.
Re-bills insurance companies or other third parties to secure payment for patients.
Makes recommendations’ to management for write-offs.
Taking and updating customer information, data entry, billing and payments.
Education and Experience
One year certificate from college or technical school; six months related experience and/or training in medical billing office; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Telework Requirements
This is a remote-work position (telework); you must be able to work from home or designated off-site location
Dedicated space/office must be free from distractions and background noise (personal calls, visitors, pets, TV, children, etc.)
Must provide your own high speed internet that meets CORA’s specifications
Must adhere to set schedule
Continuous/active communication with managers and co-workers
