Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Online Community Manager to oversee and grow our new Online Support Community program composed of genealogy enthusiasts and professionals from around the world. This person will take ownership of the support community programs, outline a strategy for growth and deep member engagement, and execute with strong attention to detail. This person is responsible for the site structure and design, communication and blog posts, tools and system upgrades, reports and analysis, and our Community Moderation program aimed at recruiting volunteer moderators. This person will also ultimately help build the company’s brand and support reputation within the community.

Key Responsibilities / Performance Requirements:
Develop and execute community strategy and roadmap, taking control to build a vibrant, world-class peer-to-peer online community

Develop strategies and plan! s to increase adoption and drive member interaction, including rewards and incentives program to reward top contributors.

Interacting with Ancestry bloggers and our network of advocates, leveraging the best they have to offer to grow a vibrant community.

Interface with (SAAS) platform developer to continuously improve the site in ways that grow member adoption and member satisfaction.

Monitor interactions and participation in online communities, and take appropriate steps to ensure a positive experience for all participants.

Recruit, manage and guide community moderators on effective principles of online community management and moderation.

Build and collaborate with a network of employees who are supporting the effort of answering questions and fueling discussions.

Continuously harvest the best posts and discussions and convert them into support content such as knowledge base articles.

Develop weekly or monthly! reports that summarize activity in the community, provide meaningful a! nalysis, and show progress against goals.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Strong oral and written communication skills

Experience with online messaging services and applications

3+ years of experience as an Online Community Manager

Ability to develop and manage project schedules to meet critical milestones

Effective presentation techniques, meeting mechanics, and team building skills

Excellent quantitative and analytical skills

Experience launching new concepts or programs a plus
