ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
•Prepares calculations and sketches for a detailed eq! uipment associated with heavy industrial mineral processing plant.
•Prepares technical data sheets and bids for equipment purchase specifications for review and approval.
•Evaluates vendor bids and drawings to assure compliance with specifications and recommend equipment purchase options.
•Reviews and approves design drawings for assigned segment of a project.
•Monitors the activities of subcontracted technical services.
•Assists with the development of design guides, guide specifications, and design control procedures.
•Supervises staff when functioning in a lead position on a project.
•Participates actively in team environment and contributes to successful completion of team goals.
•Accepts accountability for both individual and team performance.
Supervises work through the planning and scheduling of work and the review of approval of tasks when functioning in a "lead" capacity.
Education and/or Experience Required
- Req! uires a four-year Engineering degree and four to five years design engineering experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Requires an advanced level of working knowledge of various computer software packages.
- Requires Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
- Experience in mineral processing/concentrators.
- Must be familiar with engineering design codes associated with the safe operation of plant equipment or piping systems. May be familiar with interpretation design codes.
