We are looking for an Industrial Sales Manager to develop and execute industrial sales solutions with industrial customers to grow our pair, revenue and profit for Red Wing/WORX/Irish Setter footwear in accordance with Company goals. In specified oil and gas markets, includes FR apparel in industrial solutions for oil and gas custo! mers. Responsible for wholesale distribution of FR apparel to ! designated oil and gas retail stores.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, maintain and grow industrial sales within the territory by selling the value of employer-sponsored safety shoe programs to key industrial contacts, applying our best-in-class solutions to meet their safety program needs and goals, resulting in measurable growth in footwear revenue, improved profitability and increased customer loyalty.
  • For oil and gas customers not serviced by B2B team, includes FR apparel along with footwear in industrial solutions.
  • Execute wholesale distribution plan for FR apparel with designated RW retailers in oil and gas market and provides leadership to store personnel by educating them on FR apparel and related business strategies.
  • Partner with B2B team and NA Sales and Operations team including local retail stores, Direct to Industry programs, industrial trucks, National Accounts Department to drive profitabl! e industrial business ensuring customer expectations are exceeded.
  • Collaborate with RW retailers to develop leads, while working closely with respective industrial operations (Industrial Centers, Retail Combos and Shoemobile operations) to ensure financial goals are achieved.
  • As a dotted line manager, provide feedback and collaborate with Region Operations Manager (ROM) on Talent Management initiatives related to Industrial Retail Store Managers, sustaining high morale and ensuring a safe, secure and legal work environment.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on the activities and products of the competition as well as changes in the marketplace and recommend course of action.
  • Analyze and control expenditures to conform to budgetary objectives and requirements.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Obtain necessary information by maintaining knowledge of RWSC’s electronic communication software.
  • Maintain q! uality service by establishing, following, and enforcing organization q! uality system standards.

  • Complete other duties as assigned from time to time by your manager.
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, classes or programs.
  • Conduct self according to RWSC policies/Handbook.

External: Industrial accounts, Consumers, Red Wing Dealers, Store Owners/Investors, Distributors, Suppliers, Agents, Governmental Officials, Legal personnel

Requirements
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED COM! PETENCIES
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) from four-year college or university and five years direct sales experience in industrial footwear programs; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION AND COMPETENCIES
  • Industrial footwear and/or garment selling experience in oil and gas channel
  • Demonstrated experience developing sales strategies and plans, implementing tactical activities of plan, and meeting sales plan objectives.
  • Proven skills prospecting, developing opportunities and closing new business as well as growing existing accounts in a premium product sector.

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES OR KNOWLEDGE
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to obtain certification to drive under the DOT regulations
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Frequent travel in the field (3-4 days per week) making scheduled face-to-face calls, cold calls, and attending meetings and shows.
  • Overnight travel
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Home office environment within Region and close to assigned RWSC Industrial Centers
  • Mobile environment
