Provide system installation, set-up, administration, testing, maintenance, and user support of electronic surveillance collection systems. Specifically:
- Install, set up, administer, main! tain, and provide user support for electronic surveillance collection systems.
- Interface collection systems to external systems, services, and inputs.
- Perform systems administration on all aspects of the collection systems.
- Maintain customer specific collection systems, perform periodic maintenance, monitor for problems, and resolve system and user issues.
- Provide user support and training on customer specific systems.
- Provide remote support of distributed workstations.
- Provide liaison with telecommunication service providers to engineer, implement, and troubleshoot telephony input lines.
- Implement and configure audio filtering technology for microphone audio inputs.
- Provide liaison between system engineers, vendors, telecommunication service providers, and investigators.
- Clearance: Active Top Secret
- BS and 4 years of experience, AS and 7 years of! experience, or HS and 9 years of systems administration exper! ience.
- Knowledge and hands on experience supporting: Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Good interpersonal skills needed to relate with technical and non-technical users of the aforementioned technologies. Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge and hands on experience supporting:
- CALEA intercepts
- SANs, RAIDs, and other storage media, including: DVDs and Magneto Optical Disks
- IP Networking -Server hardware
- Telecommunication protocols (UMTS, GSM, CDMA, T1, ISDN)
- Telecommunication technologies, including: Multiplexers, Digital Cross Connect Solutions, Channel Banks, and Voice over IP
- Filtering and processing techniques, such as: low-pass, high-pass, and notch-and-adaptive filters and knowledge of signal levels, signal-to-noise ratios, detection-time, and hold-time.
- Telephony signaling techniques and protocols.
