(12 hour Day Shift with Rotating Weekends)
The Compressing Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring and adjusting tablet press equipment to ensure production of quality vitamin tablets.
Responsibilities
Critical contribution this role is counted on to deliver include:

Makes adjustments to produce tablets of the proper weight, hardness and thickness.

Performs and records quality checks on tablets every 45 to 60 minutes per machine; uses hardness tester, scales and micrometer as necessary, maintains written records of quality checks.

Performs simple computer tasks to analyze test results using graphs (Statistical Process Control data charts).

Apply Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to charge and yield products.

Sets up 3-piece containers.

Fills containers and weighs them to ensure contents meet weight requirements, seals bags and lids and affixes labels to containers; and moves containers to warehouse.

Supplies blended product to tablet presses.

Performs minor or major cleaning of equipment and production area and ensures Good Manufacturing Practice conditions, including monthly Master Sanitation Schedule cleaning.

Owns their process and works collaboratively with other team members to solve simple process problems to improve manufacturing operations and/or process flow.

Assists in changing tooling of presses when changing to new product.

Performs all duties in compliance with safety rules, standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Capabilities
To take on these challenges, you will need to have:

Requires a high school diploma or GED or 9 years of work equivalency.

Requires three months of manufacturing experience; a working knowledge of compression operations preferred.
Critical Success Factor
You'll be most successful in this role if you have:

Manual dexterity to manipulate controls on compressing and testing equipment.
-
Ability to read English sufficiently well to understand operating procedures, good manufacturing practices and batch records; communicate with supervisors and others; and maintain routine records.

Stand/walk for the full shift, with little/no flexibility to move from their stations unless relieved by others. Perform repetitive job duties for long periods of time. Occasionally lift loads of up to 35 pounds. Pull/push large containers of product and uses powered and manual pallet jacks as necessary.

Annual Pay
Annual Pay Range
$43,900.00 - $65,800.00
This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate’s starting salary such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role. This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws.
Pharmavite provides compensation for all overtime hours worked by non-exempt (hourly) employees in accordance with state and federal law. The need to work overtime hours will be determined by management, based on customer and business necessity to meet the needs of our business, Pharmavite may require employees to work overtime.
Voluntary overtime requested by non-exempt employees must be approved in advance by the employee’s supervisor.
