Detailed specification about this career opportunity kindly read the description below. effectively evaluates and prioritizes incoming Help Desk requests, properly resolves requests, communicates efficiently and effectively with Medsource Employees and Management, as well as documents common problems and solu! tions. The Help Desk Technician is tasked with solving basic computer issues and escalating other issues to the proper group. The Help Desk Technician is also responsible to document processes and procedures for the IT group.
DUTIES
Provide technical software, hardware and network problem resolution to all company computer users by performing question/problem diagnosis and guiding users through step-by step solutions on the phone or at their desk
Clearly communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner
Provide one-on-one end-user training as needed; assist IT and Software Development Managers
Conduct hardware and software inventory database maintenance and reporting; and perform related work as required
Identifies, diagnoses, document, and resolves issues for users of the mainframe, computer software and hardware, company network, the Internet and new computer technology in a call center environmen! t; communicates solutions to end-users
Delivers, tags! , sets up, and assists in the configuration of end-user PC desktop hardware, software and peripherals
Diagnoses and resolves end-user network or local printer problems, PC hardware problems, e-mail, Internet, dial-in, and local-area network access problems
Coordinates timely repair of PC computer equipment covered by third-party vendor maintenance agreements
Performs minor desktop hardware repair for PC computer equipment and peripherals that are not covered by third-party vendor maintenance agreements
Helps install local area network cabling systems
Assists Network Technicians in creating materials for end-user frequently asked questions
Coordinate resolution and maintain contact information for facility maintenance between employees, property owners, utility providers and service vendors etc.
Maintain cooperative working relationships; demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse population

QUALIFICATIONS
Self-motivated IT professional with experience in an IT Help Desk environment
Excellent hardware and software troubleshooting skills
Experience with phone systems is a plus
Be able to track and document information regarding client calls
Ability to prioritize and work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and be adaptable to changing situations and environment
Develop, maintain and improve training materials and reference guides
Experience with Microsoft Windows, Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange and SQL a plus
Requirements:
Professional demeanor, excellent telephone listening, oral and written communication skills
Good problem solving skills; ability to visualize a problem and think abstractly to solve it
Must be proactive and demonstrate an excellent work ethic
Ability to multitask effectively
Must be! able to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer. Must! be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking.
