Backcountry.com has an amazing opportunity for someone with a passion for bikes and bike gear to share their Distribution skills with the Warranty and Returns department. If you h! ave extensive knowledge of the gear we sell, specifically bikes and bike accessories, and love the interworking of it all, this job is for you! The successful candidate should be confident identifying current bike products that we sell on our sites and be meticulous in handling warranty issues as well as general returns. Although the main job function surrounds accurate and efficient warranty and return of bike product, cross functionality within other areas of the department will be required.
Responsibilities:
Lift up to 50 pounds
Read and audit labels
Identify, count, and sort packages and inventory with a high level of accuracy
Understand purchase order’s and be able to accurately identify vendor SKUs
Through extensive knowledge, accurately warranty product, downgrade returns, and return items into inventory
Use automated packaging equipment
Participate in team meetings, follow guidance, and prov! ide feedback as appropriate
Assist in the general org! anization and maintenance of the receiving dock
Perform other duties as assigned
Participate in LEAN initiatives
Requirements:
Six months distribution center experience or 30 days of distribution center employment at Backcountry.com
Verbal and written comprehension of the English language
A full comprehensive knowledge of current and prior bike gear and accessories
Ability to operate a pallet jack
Basic math skills
Computer skills including familiarity with the internet and e-mail; ability to work with a hand held computer device
Preferences:
High School Equivalency
Experience using JIRA
Prior bike shop experience
