The Electrical Team Manager is responsible for providing leadership and day-to-day management of electrical activities for the team to ensure outstanding safety, cost, quality! , and manufacturing execution. This position will act as a leader to support the management team and other in-plant teams to assist them in improving in all areas of electrical maintenance; decreasing costs through improvements; and ensuring that plant operations meet all applicable regulatory requirements. This position will require flexibility in working various shifts based on plant needs and coverage.
Responsibilities:
Lead, direct and grow a team of 18 electrical associates in a high volume manufacturing environment with coaching, training and development activities.
Direct and motivate the electrical team in meeting departmental goals and objectives, including maintaining high quality, safety and productivity standards.
Participate in the interviewing process and make hiring recommendations.
Maintain personnel record for reports, time sheets and attendance.
Collaborate with and build strong relationships with oth! er department leaders and associates to establish maximum util! ization of resources and to improve efficiencies and effectiveness.
Implement processes that improve key performance indicators (i.e., quality, safety, cycle time).
Develop, maintain and enforce written procedures that support department functions and conduct corresponding training.
Proactively monitor the production process and adjust schedules as needed.
Maintain high levels of Electrical Preventative Maintenance on all equipment through effective utilization and organization of all reporting employees and through effective communication to departmental staff members.
Carry out special assignments as requested or assigned.
Arranges and coordinates safety meetings held for electrical team to ensure safety standards are met (and taught) within department confines.
Requirements:
Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team in a manufacturing environment
Results focused with a proven tra! ck record of process improvements and efficiencies
Excellent communication skills including reading and writing
Ability to lead change initiatives
Demonstrated ability to establish and reach continuous improvement goals and initiatives
Strong organizational, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Proficient in MS Office. Working knowledge of CMMS programs MP2 and SAP desired but not required
Design and read blueprints for structures and equipment including latter-logic, one-line diagrams, etc.
Education and Experience:
Utah State Master Electrician License or Electrical Engineering Degree
Minimum of five years of directly related electrical experience and must possess good manufacturing supervisory abilities. Must also possess the following knowledge of:
the practice, methods, tools equipment and materials of the electrical trade.
occupational hazards of the electrical t! rade and the necessary safety precautions.
all applicable elec! trical codes (local, state and federal).
