Reporting directly to the Controller, the Accountant will be responsible for all of the company’s financial accounting duties, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and tax. Accounting activities will include: Preparing and ensuring the accuracy of accounting records Closing ledgers timely on a monthly basis and producing all required management reports Performing detailed trial balance preparation, analysis and reconciliation Analyzing and reconciling accounts Developing and complying with internal controls Preparation of financial statements Performing other accounting duties, as required
Highly qualified candidates will have:
Technical knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections Solid knowledge of Quickbooks and Excel Ability to meet deadlines, manage projects, and pay close attention to detail Strong analytical and process skills Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills 3-5 years experience in an accounting position Bachelor’s degree in accounting
