Supervisor Construction Services Outside Plant -CenturyLink is a leading provider of high-quality voice, broadband and video services over its advanced communications networks to consumers and businesses. Position Summary: Provide supervision and direction for assigned Construction Technicians within the division whose job is to splice and turn up outside fiber and copper facilities. Responsible for implementing strategies and plans to accomplish company objectives in the capital construction program Qualifications: Telecommunication background in Outside and Inside Plant. Work with contract resources scheduling and overseeing the work and approving the quality as well as reviewing and approving the billing. Prepare written and oral reports regarding capital construction requirements and associated engineering and construction issues. Responsibilities: Supervise construction activities to provide efficient operations and quality service in a timely manner. Stay within budget on projects. Work with the union on creating a joint partnership Ensure Century System Practices are communicated and adhered to. Supervise staff by appraising performance, training, quality field reviews and communicating department objectives. Work with the engineering staff, Contractor Administrator and the Field Operations group to resolve issues. Possess leadership and communications skills to direct and coach employees towards departmental goals Comprehensive knowledge of network technologies of ISP/OSP designs and equipment, including construction work prints, OSP/FM, JDS, RUS Codes, Fireworks and Bidmaster. Working knowledge of cable designs and equipment turn up of Outside and Inside Plant facilities and equipment. Be well organized and able to schedule the work to meet all the timelines and the budget allowed for each job.
Preferred Qualifications:
Telecommunications background with Outside Plant and Electronics knowledge.
