Position is located in: 419th AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE SQ/MXAAS, HILL AFB UT 84506-5000. Candidate Referral Roster (CRR) established from this announcement may be used for 90 days to fill additional positions at HILL! AFB UT.

Individuals selected for an Air Reserve Tech! nician (ART) position must meet and maintain ART requirements.

Applicants for ART positions must currently be a member of the Air Force Reserve or willing and eligible to join.

As an Electronics Integrated Systems Mechanic, WG-2610-12

you will analyze mal! functions, troubleshoot, repair, remove, install, maintain, test, inspect, modify, and perform alignment and operational checkout of the entire Integrated Avionics systems, subsystems, and systems interactions on the F-16 aircraft. You will also:

  • Perform functional test, analyze performance of and troubleshoot the automated integrated electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical functions of the avionics systems and subsystems.
  • Debrief aircrews to obtain firsthand information of flight discrepancies in order to expedite repairs.
  • Remove faulty line-replaceable units, install serviceable line-replaceable units, align, harmonize, boresight, inspect, and conduct operational performance checkout of integrated avionics systems.
  • Research all available technical data, technical orders,
engineering documents, and schematic diagrams to solve technical problems which are encountered for which specific procedural steps are ! not available.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

PHYSICAL EFFORT:
May be required to lift or carry weight in excess of 25 pounds with assistance. Dexterous hand coordination, hand-eye coordination, and true color perception is required. Observes safety, security, good housekeeping, fire prevention, and FOD rules, regulations, practices, and policies.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works inside/outside in inclement weather or extreme temperatures, on icy, wet and slippery ramps, aircraft surfaces, and work stands to a height of 10 feet. Is exposed to radioactive components, high voltage, high noise levels, and jet engine blast.
