Academy Mortgage Corporation is seeking a Compliance Specialist to join our growing Compliance team, headquartered in Sandy, Utah.
Role
The Compliance Specialist supports production! by researching and answering employees' compliance questions, drafts and compiles compliance monitoring reports, works under the direction of the Compliance Manager to assist in compiling compliance reports, drafts compliance communications for employees throughout the company, and researches and stays current with changing market conditions, investor policies, and government regulations.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports production by researching and answering compliance questions
- Reviews Academy policies to ensure they comply with federal and state lending laws and regulations
- Drafts and compiles, compliance reports as needed
- Drafts compliance bulletins and reports
- Reports to Compliance Manager any high priority compliance issues needing to be addressed
- Researches and stays current with changing market conditions, investor polices, and government regulations
- Recommends policy change! s to Compliance Officer

- 7-10 years’ of similar or related experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Courtesy, customer service, and tact are essential elements of the job ; w ork involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside th e organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relations hips, or soliciting cooperation
- Requires effective communication with customer s and/or other employees using common telecommunications equipment and co mputer equipment
- Must be able to read, examine, and organize documents
- May requ ire the ability to sit, stand, and walk around for extended periods of time
- Position will often be in a busy office environment : t he ability to multitask and focus i n this environment is essential
