Analyst-Accommodation Remote [United States]


 

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this role is to participate in the establishment and implementation of the accommodation request process for the company. Such processes include those related to requests from both active employees and those returning from an approved medical leave of absence. This includes responsibility for facilitating the interactive process between the vendor, the employee, the location manager and field human resource manager to identify appropriate work accommodation options and monitor the implementation of same.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engages in interactive process with employees requesting additional leave, modifications to assist the employees to perform their essential job duties, or requesting reassignment
  • Reviews and evaluates accommodation requests and recommends appropriate accommodation options
  • Engages with hiring managers, HR partners or talent acquisition applicants regarding accommodation requests
  • Develops standardized methods for reviewing and handling frequent end-of-leave/return to work accommodation requests and requests for additional leave
  • Consults with leaders on how to document accommodation responses and leave decisions, including terminations and posting/backfilling roles
  • Partners with functional stakeholders on Workday coding, status and short-term / sick pay questions
  • Supports associates that have questions about leaves and accommodations or need help understanding how to navigate the process
  • Partners with vendor to monitor for leave extension, accommodation request and interactive process responses / progression
  • Engages with vendor and leaders on escalated cases, which includes working to resolve cases within designated service level agreement
  • Monitors case management system, email and Teams to ensure that cases and inquires are being handled timely and accurately
  • Monitors implementation of accommodation response to employees who return from leave
  • Supports and implements any reporting obligations in coordination with the Legal Department
  • Supports business partners and legal on any case reviews for leaves or accommodations
  • Ensures training obligations on leave and accommodations processes are completed
  • Creates reporting availability for interactive process requests and end-of-leave processes, as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business or related field OR 4 years related experience
  • 3 years case management experience in the ADA/disability/worker’s compensation/FMLA/counseling arena
  • Subject matter expertise in ADA and FMLA with working knowledge of workers' compensation

  • 5 years experience managing disability accommodation cases that include return to work programs

Pay Range for CA, CO, NJ, NY, WA: $56,400.00 - $94,000.00 annually
