Classification Title: Administrative Support Assistant II
Classification Salary Range: $3,338 - $4,913 per month
The final salary is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
About the Department/Position:
Under the general supervision of the Director of the Toro Learning and Testing Center (TLTC), the Testing Assistant will provide a full range of general office clerical support to the Toro Learning & Testing Center and collaborate extensively with office staff and student leaders to collectively uphold a welcoming and hospitable environment. The incumbent will assist in the day-to-day procedures and practices in preparing exam test materials, preparing check-in, and proctoring standardized exams. These assignments require close work with students, non-student test takers, instructors, proctors, and co-workers to facilitate smooth, timely, accurate and secure test administration and processing.
Overview of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide general office clerical support to the Toro Learning & Testing Center
- Ensure that all student staff are appropriately trained with front office procedures
- Assist in organizing student staff office assignments and office hours
- Answer, screen, and route telephone calls and email messages
- Greet and create a welcoming and secure testing environment for guests
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of a high school program or its equivalent and some experience in an office environment, equivalent to 2 years.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience to be proficient in performing most or all work assignments.
- General working knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
- Ability to learn, interpret independently, and apply a variety of complex policies and procedures. Able to identify deviations from applicable policies.
- Work often involves front line contacts with a variety of campus and community individuals requiring active problem solving and effective interpersonal skills.
