Maintenance Manager

More complete informations about this job opportunity kindly read the description below. Our client owns and operates a coal-fired power plant, located in rural Utah. Due to retirement, they are looking for a new Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Manager will supervise six Technicians, work! closely with the Production Manager, and report directly to the Plant Manager. Duties and responsibilities will include; To lead by example, promoting personal ownership and personal responsibility within the maintenance team, Support workplace culture demonstrative of company values in technical performance - trend charts, published goals, Define technical goals and objectives and communicate them plainly across team, ensuring each team member understands his/her role in fulfilling overall team objectives, Conduct briefings as appropriate to communicate schedules, safety concerns, performance expectations, emerging issues, etc., Provide frequent feedback to all personnel regarding plant performance versus expectations - thermal models, charts, Respond promptly to emergent issues and incident reports and communicate findings and remedial actions across the team rapidly - closure rate, Ensure each team member has appropriate technical information to operate and maintain equ! ipment responsibly and that procedures reflect best technical ! practices, Routinely establish maintenance/repair priorities in coordination with the Production Manager.
The successful candidate will have 10+ years working in power plant maintenance, including 3+ years experience in a supervisory role. Solid fuel experience is required (coal, biomass, waste-to-energy, etc.).
