ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
•Establish design objectives for specific proj! ects and recommend practicability and suitability of design, material and other criteria.
•Prepare preliminary design studies.
•Prepare moderately difficult designs for segments of assigned projects.
•Prepare layout studies, specification reviews, and drawings (concrete, steel, masonry) in compliance with process and client requirements.
•Evaluate effects of changes and modifications on form, function and positional relationships of total design or component.
•Perform duties within a client's operating facility or in the field in support of a construction project if required.
•Duties may include extended, but temporary out of town assignments.
•Ability to move from design concept to finished design, including layouts and tolerance valuations and detail drawings with minimal instruction.
•Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or ! Safety.
•Coordinate with all disciplines (mechanical! , piping, electrical) in preparing design drawings.
•Accept accountability for both individual and team performance.
Education & Experience Requirements
•Vocational technical training in basic drafting technology and six to eight years drafting experience; or an Associate's Degree (A.A.) in Engineering Technology or equivalent from two-year college or technical school plus four to six years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Requires a high level of technical ability in the appropriate engineering discipline.
•Requires a thorough working knowledge of basic AutoCAD applications and understanding of the capabilities/limitations of the equipment relating to the efficient production of engineering documents.
Experience in mineral processing, concentrators, CADWorx, AutoCAD Civil 3D, SmartPlant 3D, Win TR-55
•Requires continuing education concerning upd! ates of drafting software and new software applications.
