The Service Advisor sells and schedules needed service work on commercial trucks and equipment for the dealership service department.

Responsib! ilities
Write up customerâs vehicle problems on repair order.
Refer to service history, inspect vehicle, and recommend additional needed service.
Advise customers on vehicle care and maintenance.
Provide a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.
Establish method of payment and obtain credit approval, if necessary.
Check on progress of repairs throughout day and contact customers to obtain authorization regarding any changes before additional work is completed.
Review repair orders to ensure work is completed and additional work and authorization is noted. Close repair orders as appropriate.
Explain completed work and charges to customers.

Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
One year experience.
Valid commercial driverâs license and insurability.
Personal computer skills, familiarity with accounting and other software for dealer operations.
