The Division of Adult Psychiatry is seeking to add inpatient faculty since the recent addition of 80 new beds (total of 140 beds) at the University Neuropsychiatric Institute. We value candidates who share a passion for excellence in patient care (96% rating past 10 years) and improving overall healthâ€"a commitment to the highest standards of training for students, residents and fellows and continued expansion of pioneering research programs. Currently research includes: the neuro-imaging of addiction, mood and psychotic disorders, the epidemiology and genetics of suicide, the epidemiology and genetics of autism and neuro-imaging and treatment of PTSD.
Work in a Hospitalist system with 2 colleagues and have built in coverage and support, plus you each have 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off (daily census of 10) or choose to work solo (daily census of 8)
The base salary is $190,000 for inpatient Psychiatrists and goes up an additional $20,0! 00 for each additional patient you add to your censusâ€"in add! ition to your salary there is clinical incentive pay, if you choose to work outside of your normal inpatient duties

Recently the department moved into a new, state-of-the-art pavilionâ€"4 stories, 120,000 sq ft and 5 distinct patient units with focus on both in and outpatient mental health treatment and researchâ€"it also houses classrooms, a 3T research MRI suite and a new auditorium
