RECREATION ADVISOR
This position is responsible for monitoring and directing students engaged in center-sponsored recreational activities on and off center in compliance with government and management directives. Among other duties, this position will:
- Assist the recreation manager or supervisor in planning, implementing and coordinating a comprehensive and diversified program in a variety of recreation activities.
- Organize and supervise student participation in a variety of recreation activities.
- Assist with monitoring of the student store.
- Create positive peer leadership and role modeling techniques through activities on and off center.
- Model appropriate behaviors, mentoring students where necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions as well as maintaining a safe and clean work area that models high standards for a wo! rk environment.
- Provide positive, quality customer services to the students, staff and other center customers.
High school diploma or GED and two years recreation experience or verified voluntary experience. Experience with youth, and excellent written and verbal communications skills. Must possess or acquire within 60 days of employment, a valid Utah CDL license with an acceptable driving record.
