Director, Finance
CIT Bank's Financial Center Manager (FCM) is responsible for the administration and efficient daily operation of a full service branch office and ! successful achievement of deposit, loan, service and profitability goals for his/her assigned Financial Center. This position is directly responsible for acquiring, deepening and retaining profitable relationships with small to medium size ($1mm-$20mm annual revenue) businesses and consumers within their market.

Working directly with the Financial Center team, this position will assure quality satisfaction of clients' needs and the achievement of goals within the banking office including sound branch operations, excellent customer service, needs-based product sales, commercial lending activities as well as managing ongoing security and safety matters. The FCM should actively participate in community events and relationship-building activities with clients and prospects and centers of influence in the business market. He/she will also ensure compliance with all State and Federal Banking laws and regulations.Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • The ! FCM's primary responsibility is the development of profitable ! business and consumer relationships. This includes fulfilling the overall commercial and personal banking needs of small to medium sized businesses and their principals in the market.
  • Responsible for overseeing sales and service activities to meet and exceed branch growth and profitability objectives.
  • Effectively manage all branch employees by exhibiting excellent leadership skills; providing continuous supervision, coaching, training, recognition, and motivation.
  • Ensure all employees comply with the bank's established policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Establish and communicate bank's goals and targets while promoting commitment and support from the team.
  • Participates in and supports the adherence to all internal policies procedures, and practices to mitigate risk and ensure overall safety and soundness and the branch's compliance with all regulatory requirements and ensures all personnel adhere to the same.
  • Support ne! w marketing campaigns and product launches in order to achieve sales results.
  • Ensure the profitability and productivity goals of the branch are achieved by hands-on management.
  • Participate in community affairs in order to increase the Bank's visibility and enhance new and existing business opportunities.
  • Conducts regularly scheduled sales and customer service meetings with branch staff to review branch performance metrics and other pertinent measures and information.
  • Assists in the development of annual budget and goals and produces and distributes regular reports on Financial Center's performance against established goals and budget categories.

  • A thorough working knowledge of the banking industry is essential, including in-depth knowledge of commercial and consumer deposit products, commercial loans, cash management products and related banking services.
  • Extensive knowledge and proven experience developing new relationships with small to medium ($1-20mm) business clients and prospects.
  • Deep knowledge of commercial loan products and the details of lending to the target market. A solid understanding of conventional credit underwriting standards, typical collateral requirements, loan documentation requirements and how to ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory compliance when managing commercial loan requ! ests are essential.
  • Excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
  • Superior leadership and human resource management skills, including hiring, employee performance management and making provisions for training of new personnel.
  • Strong understanding of bank products, regulations, procedures, and controls.
  • Well-developed critical thinking skills, including sound judgment and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Extensive understanding of the inner workings of a full service branch and deep knowledge of business and retail banking.
  • Thorough knowledge of regulatory, policy and compliance issues.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum 15 years banking experience.
  • 7+ years experience working with small to medium size businesses.
  • 7+ years of experience! in the assigned Financial Center's market area.
  • A minimum fiv! e years related management experience in banking is required.
