A fast growing and successful organization in Salt Lake City is looking for an Accountant to maintain general ledgers, be involved in system implementations, and prepare various company financial r! eports. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Claims allocation - calculations and journal entries
Analyze monthly variances and prepare explanation for management
Calculate and record monthly depreciation entries
Prepare bank cash change report
Interface with development team on implementation of new system
Improving the current general ledger system (Great Plains)
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Two to four years of General Ledger reconciliation and reporting experience
Two years of Great Plains experience
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Strong verbal and written commun! ication skills
Analytical and research driven
Insurance industry experience preferred
